Xochimilco - México
The Fogón Común is designed in collaboration with MIT ODDS & MODS and COCINA COLABORATORIO.
The design is dedicated to serving the local community with a communal firestove outdoor kitchen that can be used in Xochimilco. The project hopes to preserve traditional Mexican culinary recipes by honoring integenerational knowledge of cooking. The site’s proximity to fertil chinampa farmgrounds is also dedicated in supporting its local produce and native plants.
This design-build project was constructed in January 2025.
