i-Spy Fine Arts Gallery Exploration
Fall 2024: Painting Class

During my graduate studies, I had the great honor of working as a Graduate Student Teacher (GST) for the Harvard Art Museums. We collaborated with teachers from a local high school and designed student museum visits throughout the school year related to the student’s course material.

The i-Spy activity in the gallery allows for students to take a closer look at the elements of art and design in: shape, color, texture and line.

Students were invited to roam free in the art gallery while participating
with this fun and interactive activity with a partner!

Recyclable Jewelry Making Workshop
Fall 2024: Jewelry Class

Inspired by a the Coca-Cola dress by German artist, Gabriele Stötzer, jewelry-making students were invited to create their own jewelry using recycled cans and wire. While also recognizing Attleboro, MA., a site once known as "The Jewelry Capital of the World”.

The class was held in the Harvard Art Museums making studio space and two high-school level courses were held balancing time between hands-on art-making and museum visit.

One of my main teaching goals as a GST, was to explore creative ways of making museum spaces accessible, educational and exciting for teens of all museum-going experiences and interests.

By designing creative worksheets and hands-on art-making workshops, students had the opportunity to engage in museum visits at Harvard Art Museums like never before!
